Internal Server Error - The table "{{plugins}}" for active record class "Plugin"

I'm trying to upgrade from version 1.92 to 2.06.
Uploaded the new installation to the server, checked access rights and gave a go.
When it starts upgrading the database, all I got is this error:

Internal Server Error
The table "{{plugins}}" for active record class "Plugin" cannot be found in the database.
An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem.


Repeated the procedure again and again, no luck.
Any idea?

Hi,

I think it's better to update from 1.92 to 2.00 , after to 2.05 and last to 2.06.

But you can make a bug report.

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member, professional service on demand , plugin development .

Hi!

Ok then, I tried the upgrade to 2.00 - no problems with that.
But if i continue to 2.05 I get SQL Errors again:

Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table 'lime_permissions' already exists


I tried serval database backups from the past, no look.
Is there any chance to fix this database?
